Overview
Ventoline is a quick-relief inhaled medicine. It opens the airways to make breathing easier when shortness of breath or wheezing comes on quickly. This medicine is mainly used for fast relief of asthma symptoms or other episodes of narrowed airways.Ibrahim's pharmacy advice
When a patient comes to the pharmacy with Ventoline, I always pay attention to inhaler technique. For a first-time user, I show step by step how to use it correctly. For someone who has used it before, I often ask whether the technique is still correct and whether the medicine is really reaching the lungs well. If the technique is wrong, the fast effect may not come as expected. For some people, a spacer can be very helpful, especially for children and adults who find it hard to coordinate the spray and the inhalation.
How to use your inhaler – step by step
